Is this one big enough?

We are having some incredibly warm weather for December. We picked one of the many sunny days to go find our Christmas tree :) Jeff and I had never been to a "cut your own" tree farm before, so we were off on an adventure! In this area there have got to be at least twenty tree farms! We chose Klaus's Trees near the African Lion Safari (which is kind of funny in itself). They were very friendly, handing us a photocopied map of the location of the trees and asking us if we have a saw. (Luckily Jeff was thinking!) We walked around the area looking for just the right tree, expecting it to be lit from above like the one in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Heeding the warning on the map which said "trees look much bigger in your living room than they do out here", we picked one that looked just a bit taller than Jeff. Fortuately it was a nice little tree, because we had to carry it all the way back to the car! We stuffed it in the Honda (wagon), tied down the hatch, paid for our treasure, and headed home with our first Christmas tree on Dayton Street. Posted by Picasa
